President Claudio Lotito confirms Maurizio Sarri has signed for Lazio. ‘We have a coach who allows the club to develop and achieve our objectives.’
The official social media account has been dropping hints all day, including a cigarette emoji and images reminiscent of his career in banking.
“We kept the pledges that we made with a coach who allows the club to develop and achieve our objectives, in line with the potential and ambitions of this side,” Lotito told news agency Adnkronos.
There is still no formal statement on the club website.
Sarri replaces Simone Inzaghi, who walked away after five years to take the Inter job.
