Lazio patron Claudio Lotito has revealed he will meet with coach Maurizio Sarri ‘during the week’, at the Biancocelesti work to extend the tactician’s deal at the Olimpico.
There’s no rush, as Sarri took over at the Olimpico over the summer and signed a contract until June 2023.
But the Biancocelesti wanted to sign a deal until June 2025 already in June, something the club has been working on ever since the former Napoli and Juventus coach’s arrival.
The President spoke to Il Messaggero regarding the possible renewal with the 62-year-old, who replaced Simone Inzaghi at the helm.
“There’s no rush,” Lotito told Il Messaggero. “We will meet during the week, when there’s time. We are calm and we are in full harmony.”
Lazio are currently fifth in Serie A with 21 points from the first 12 games in 2021-22 and are only one point behind Atalanta in the top four.
