Lazio president Claudio Lotito has no intention of losing star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United in the summer.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder has quietly grown into one of the strongest midfielders in Europe over the last few years, being a key figure capable of magic on the pitch. This season, Milinkovic-Savic has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 11 Serie A appearances, continuing to prove his qualities on the pitch.

Speaking to Il Messaggero, Lotito retired that Milinkovic-Savic is invaluable to Lazio and would be offered a new contract.

“I will not sell Milinkovic-Savic, I will offer him a renewal. I reiterate, he is now worth €120m, and every month that passes, the price goes up.”

The Serbian star’s current contract expires with Lazio in 2024 and his agent Mateja Kezman has made it clear that contract renewal negotiations will have to wait until after the World Cup in Qatar.

Milinkovic-Savic has never pushed to leave Lazio but could look to make the jump to a top European side as he prepares to enter the prime of his career.
