Lazio President Claudio Lotito claims he ‘kicked Marcelo Bielsa out’ after the club signed players he wanted but ‘were no good anymore three minutes later’.
Bielsa lasted just two days as Lazio boss during the summer of 2016, although the Argentine has gone on to lead Leeds United to the cusp of promotion to the Premier League.
“I kicked Bielsa out,” Lotito told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it.

“When I was in France, [sporting director Igli] Tare called me and told me that he’d bought some players that the Coach wanted.
“Three minutes later, they were no good anymore. I returned to Formello and called the Coach wit Tare and start a situation of a certain type.
“Tare spoke to him. He replied as if he were a scientist. At one point I was so sorry for Igli, picked up the phone: ‘Look Mr, you have to go.’ Tare was pale.”
