Lotito gives honest opinion about Lazio’s title hopes

Lazio president Claudio Lotito admits the Bianconcelesti need the ‘touch of lady luck’ to win the Scudetto this season.

Lotito spoke about Lazio’s title ambitions during an event in Rome to remember Tommaso Maestrelli on the day of what would have been his 100th birthday. Maestrelli was the first coach to win a Scudetto at the club.

“Lazio are the club, during my tenure, won the most trophies after Milan and Juventus,” claimed Lotito.

“An important thing is missing [the Scudetto], but we are working on it. We are committed to reaching all our targets. Not always good programming brings results. We need fate on our side, the dutch of lady luck.”

Maurizio Sarri’s men are just three points behind leaders, Atalanta and Napoli, after five wins, two draws and one loss, against the Partenopei, in Serie A.

The Tuscan tactician can still rely on one of the deadliest duos in Serie A: Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and has the second-less beaten defence in the league with just five goals conceded.
