Lazio President Claudio Lotito has denied reports of a fist-fight with Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The Gazzetta dello Sport made the outlandish claim that the two Presidents got into a physical scuffle during a Lega Calcio dinner on Tuesday night.

It was reported that Lotito drew up a plan to split television rights with more going to Lazio than Napoli.

This sparked an exchange of words and the alleged punch thrown by De Laurentiis, until Milan's Adriano Galliani and Pietro Lo Monaco of Catania intervened to pull them apart.

“I prefer not to discuss situations that are clearly ridiculous,” Lotito told Radio Kiss Kiss this evening.

“Let's talk about football, not these stupid stories. The table tells us Napoli-Lazio will be an important game on Sunday.”
