Lazio President Claudio Lotito has reportedly asked his players to accept a proposed pay cut for March and April, but the Aquile stars are not convinced.

Il Messaggero claims the Biancocelesti patron has communicated a possible reduction of player wages at the Olimpico, but their sources reveals that the players did not welcome the idea.

Lotito has intentions of reducing their salaries for the months of March and April and will ask for a similar approach for the months of May and June unless Serie A resumes.

According to the Roman paper, the players did not respond well to the message but with captain Senad Lulic currently in Switzerland, the meeting will only be preliminary.
