Brescia coach Diego Lopez was ‘annoyed’ watching his team lose 6-0 to Inter on Wednesday. ‘They must understand the season is not over’.

The Rondinelle are fighting for salvation but the Uruguayan coach admitted they didn’t compete against the Nerazzurri and paid the heavy price for their lack of commitment.

“We didn’t participate from the beginning,” Lopez told DAZN. “We knew it was difficult to get a result, but it’s annoying to lose this way.

“We didn’t participate from the beginning,” Lopez told DAZN. “We knew it was difficult to get a result, but it’s annoying to lose this way.

“We must understand that the championship is not over. We had to come here to play another game, but we didn’t play at all.”

Bresica sit bottom of Serie A, eight points behind safety and face a high-flying Hellas Verona in their next match.

“Sunday, however, a Final awaits us and we must prepare better. Inter are too strong for us now.

“The biggest regret is having played two good games and then not participating against the Nerazzurri.

“This is not good. There are many teams who are stronger than us, but today we did very little to compete.”
