Ahead of the test, their No 10 was asked about his opposite number in the Roma ranks.
“My 10 has nothing to do with his! Totti is historic,” Lopez has told Il Messaggero today.

“My 10 has nothing to do with his! Totti is historic,” Lopez has told Il Messaggero today.
“One of the last romantics. His whole career with the same colours. He is the greatest value of Roma, the difference compared to other teams.
“Few in the world would get to his age with that technique and mental freshness – he is a member of a small club, where you can find people like Raul and even our Pellissier.
“Roma are balanced, in everything, starting from the results. Chievo is hungry. We need points. We can take some only if we are at 100 per cent and they have a bad day.”
The Argentine was asked if he had been studying Davide Astori and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa in particular.
“Yes, but the little details I will keep to myself. We are studying Roma, yes, and we know of the leap in quality they have to Chievo.
“We have to be at our best during the 90 minutes and be decisive in attack.
“On that point I want to be decisive. At the beginning of the season Corini asked me to reach double digits – I want and hope to do so. I scored at Napoli and that ended well.”
This will be Roma’s first match since the fallout from their defeat to Juventus in Week 6, which focused on Gianluca Rocchi’s performance with the whistle.
“Do not talk about referees, because then in the game they will be angry with me. You can make mistakes, it happens to everyone. Then you pay for it, as in the case of Rocchi. You have to be patient.
“Of course we expect a very warm climate, Roma are in good shape and the defeat against Juventus will be petrol in the tank like determination.
“Who can win the title? They can both win, there is the factor of the Champions League and it is not easy to keep your feet in both fields.
“Juve are favourites for the three consecutive Scudetti, but Roma this year has something more than last year.”
