Ademola Lookman has resumed training with his teammates after holding transfer talks with Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Nigerian striker Lookman returned to training with Atalanta on Thursday morning, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

Lookman held talks with PSG last week and missed the final training session before Atalanta’s Serie A opener against Lecce, so he was not involved in Monday’s 4-0 away win at the Stadio Via Del Mare.

However, reports in France now suggest that PSG are unwilling to sign a new centre forward despite a recent injury to Gonçalo Ramos. Di Marzio confirms that the Ligue 1 giants’ interest in Lookman has cooled off.

The striker has now returned to training under Gian Piero Gasperini, and Di Marzio claims that the ’emergency’ regarding Lookman’s potential exit is ‘over’.

Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in a €9.3m deal in 2022 and has scored 32 goals in 79 games with La Dea, including a legendary hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023-24 Europa League Final.
