Former Napoli and Parma midfielder Raffaele Longo admits the Vesuviani are favourites tonight, but warns that they still lack balance.

The 37-year-old represented both clubs during the mid-1990s and agrees that the Azzurri walk into tonight's game at the San Paolo expecting to win.

“Napoli are certainly the favourites, Parma are not living a good moment,” admitted Longo to Tuttonapoli.net.

“But these are matches to be handled with care, among other things because the Gialloblu have always performed well against the Azzurri.

“But Napoli have to win and redeem the poor performance in Milan so they can get back some points on third place, which by now must be seen as the season objective.

“Napoli still don’t have the right balance between attack and defence. Going forward Napoli are formidable.

“It is a shame about [Lorenzo] Insigne's injury, but with [Gonzalo] Higuain, [Dries] Mertens and [Jose] Callejon, Napoli remain one of the strongest teams out there.

“The problem is balance. In the defensive phase they keep making the same mistakes, and they pay for them dearly.

“With the defeat to Milan they've plunged back into all of their bad habits.”

Longo was also asked for his opinion about the upcoming Supercup clash between Juventus and the Partenopei.

“In a single game, Napoli have a chance against everyone. It's enough to single out the great game against Roma.

“For this reason I'll say that Juventus and Napoli have equal possibilities of winning it. Obviously I'll be supporting the latter.”
