Samuele Longo praised Cagliari’s spirit after their penalty shootout win over Modena in the Coppa Italia.
The Sardinian side advanced to face Parma in the Last 16 after a 4-4 draw with the Serie B side and then a nerve-wracking penalty shootout.
Longo got two goals for Zdenek Zeman’s men, and believes the team’s four equalisers are testament to the spirit in the Cagliari camp.
“We’re a good team that never gives up,” Longo told reporters after the match.

“I’m happy for my two goals, they give me confidence that I’m doing the right things. I’m happy at Cagliari, the fans are great here and we’re always together.”
