According to reports in Italy, the agent of Ruben Loftus-Cheek has proposed him to Inter, but Chelsea’s €20m asking price is considered far too high.

Loftus-Cheek is one of several players, along with Romelu Lukaku, who are not happy under the tenure of coach Thomas Tuchel.

The 26-year-old midfielder is under contract until June 2024 and is a product of the Chelsea academy, but is not part of their plans for the future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Loftus-Cheek’s agent called Inter to propose the England international for their midfield.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is interested, but certainly not at the €20m asking price, so the deal would only be possible on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Inter have already struck an agreement to bring in Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a free agent after he turned down a contract extension with Roma.

Loftus-Cheek has also been linked with Jose Mourinho’s Roma as a potential replacement for Mkhitaryan, but again, a loan would be necessary to make it stick.
