According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has given his green light to join Milan, who are preparing an opening offer for the Blues.

The English midfielder has emerged as the Diavoli’s priority target in midfield, especially after Ismael Bennacer’s knee injury, which will force the Algeria international out of action until the end of the year.

La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms talks between Milan, Chelsea and the player’s entourage are ongoing. According to the report, RLF has given his green light to join the Rossoneri.

Chelsea’s asking price is €25m, but Milan don’t want to invest more than €20m for the 27-year-old whose contract expires in June 2024. According to the report, Milan’s first offer for the Blues will be €15m plus add-ons.

The Rossoneri have already secured their first two signings for the summer with Daichi Kamada and Marco Sportiello. Both will soon have their medical with the Rossoneri, joining on free transfers from Eintracht Frankfurt and Atalanta, respectively.
