Manuel Locatelli seems close to moving from Sassuolo to Juventus and tomorrow a €35m deal plus bonuses could be completed, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The newspaper reports the European champion, who is currently on holiday after his international duties this summer, is close to joining the Old Lady ahead of 2021-22.

Locatelli has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri this summer but didn’t let the rumours distract him during the European Championship, when the Azzurri went all the way.

The 23-year-old joined Sassuolo in August 2018, initially on loan from Milan, but then completed a permanent move in July 2019.

The midfielder has excelled at the Mapei Stadium and has earned 15 caps with Italy, scoring three times for the Azzurri.

Juventus have offered €35m for the former Rossoneri youth, but Sassuolo are asking for €40m to part ways with the talented youngster.

Il Corriere dello Sport believes the two parties will meet tomorrow to sort out the final details of the negotiations, as the Neroverdi have accepted a multi-year loan deal but want an obligation to buy when it expires.

The report claims Juventus thus will close a €35m two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy plus bonuses.
