“Hard to keep my feet on the ground? I always feel like the lads of my generation from Galbiate, my town,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“If I started to think about money at my age, I wouldn’t go anywhere.

“What do I need to improve on? Physically and in keeping the ball. My objective is to prove that I can play for this Milan.

“Training with Italy? I’m happy but taking things one step at a time. I’m not expecting anything, I’m thinking about the present and keeping my feet on the ground.

“Milan’s new batch of youngsters? With us, the Rossoneri have a good project for the next 10 years. Something special is brewing.

“Objectives? Personally, continuing like this. For the team, returning to Europe.”
