Juventus will meet Sassuolo next week to discuss Manuel Locatelli while the Neroverdi coach Alessio Dionisi admits the club would allow the Italy starlet to leave to develop.

Locatelli, 23, has emerged as the Juventus transfer priority this summer and Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti reports the two clubs will meet for the third time next week to discuss a potential transfer at the Allianz Stadium for the Italy international.

Sassuolo have received a €40m bid from Arsenal, but Locatelli wants to play Champions League football next season, so he is determined to snub a move to North London to join Juventus instead.

Locatelli even dropped a social media hint, by liking the news of his potential transfer to Juventus on Twitter.

However, Juventus can only meet Sassuolo’s asking price by adding a player to a €30m cash offer, signing the player on loan with an obligation to buy.

According to the report, the third meeting between Juventus and Sassuolo should take place on Wednesday or Thursday next week.

The Italian starlet is currently on holiday, but the Neroverdi’s coach Alessio Dionisi is not sure he will return to the club in August.

“I don’t know what will happen with Locatelli, I don’t think the club will prevent his exit if he has a chance to leave and develop,” the new Sassuolo coach said after a friendly encounter against Sud Tirol on Saturday.

Locatelli joined Sassuolo in a €14m move from Milan in 2019. He has scored seven goals in 99 appearances with the Neroverdi since.
