Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli sent a message via social media, as Juventus and Arsenal continue to do battle over his signature.

The Italy international is having some well-earned vacation time after celebrating the UEFA EURO 2020 triumph at Wembley Stadium against England.

Following the celebrations back in Rome, including an open-top bus ride through the city for the cheering fans, Locatelli is taking some time off.

The newspapers and television stations are clamouring over his future, but Locatelli has one very clear message to all of them.

“CALM.” he wrote in capital letters while walking through flowers in the sunshine.

Sassuolo and Juventus directors both said they wanted to leave the 23-year-old free of pressure following the European Championship, believing there’s plenty of time to get a deal over the line.

Arsenal have already matched the Sassuolo asking price of €40m plus up to €5m in bonuses, but Locatelli has his heart set on joining the Bianconeri.

Negotiations continue, Juve so far proposing only a loan with option to buy at circa €30m, but could include a player as part of the deal.
