Sassuolo are set for some crunch meetings, as Juventus target Manuel Locatelli, while Milan ask after Domenico Berardi.

Director general Giovanni Carnevali said today that he could not “guarantee” Locatelli or Berardi remaining at the Mapei Stadium next season.

This evening’s transfer round-ups on various Italian television channels all point them in the same direction.

Juve are expected to meet with Sassuolo on Wednesday to discuss Locatelli and the asking price has been set at circa €40m, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Bianconeri have already exchanged quite a few players with Sassuolo and could connect again with defender Radu Dragusin the potential key to the whole affair.

He just turned 19 and already has two caps for Romania at Under-21 level.

As for Berardi, Sportitalia insist that he is considered the first choice for Milan coach Stefano Pioli, who had already tried to sign him for Fiorentina many years ago.

He turns 27 next month and his experience at Euro 2020 may well provide him with the confidence needed to step up a level next term, playing in the Champions League for the first time.

Berardi scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in 30 Serie A appearances this season.

The asking price would again be close to €40m, but Milan could invest if they managed to sell Rafael Leao.
