“I’ve still got goosebumps, it’s unbelievable. These are enormous emotions that I will always hold within me, it’s just indescribable,” Locatelli told RAI Sport.
“I know that I need to score more goals in my career. I am grateful for the compliments, but I know in football it can go from one side to the other in an instant, so it’s important to keep our balance.”
Some were again expecting more goals, but Switzerland just squeezed past Lithuania 1-0 this evening in the same 2022 World Cup qualifying group.
