Both teams have already booked their place in the Champions League Round of 16, so the Partenopei can only fumble top spot if they lose by four clear goals this evening.

“It’s a big game in a great stadium, everybody wants to play here, especially being here with fans like ours,” Lobotka told Sky Sport Italia.

Anfield has been a positive place for Italians to visit in recent years, as Atalanta and Inter won here.

“We are focused, it’s going to be difficult, but we don’t want to lose. It is very difficult for every club to play here, in the Premier League and in Europe.”

The Partenopei have won 13 consecutive matches in all competition and could become the first Italian side to complete a perfect Champions League group phase since Milan in 1992-93.

“Our season is going well, we are proving what we can do and hope to continue like this.”
