Napoli have been talking to Celta Vigo for Stanislav Lobotka for “months, but their offer is insufficient,” said his agent.
The 23-year-old Slovakia international was meant to be a replacement for Marek Hamsik, but this week the captain seemed to commit his future to Napoli after proposals from China didn’t meet the €30m asking price.
“The player would only leave Celta for a proposal that couldn’t be turned down by either party,” agent Branislav Jasurek told Marca.

“We’ve been talking to Napoli for months, but their offer is insufficient. Plus they also changed Coach from Maurizio Sarri to Carlo Ancelotti.
“As for the rumours linking Lobotka to Arsenal, I can say there has been no sign, while PSG are one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. Stanislav can play at that level.
“The release clause isn’t the issue. If an offer arrives that is good for everyone, then Celta will let Stanislav go. If not, we’re happy to stay here.”
