The latter virtually issued Lo Monaco with an ultimatum after the official announced his intention to buy Salernitana” data-scaytid=”8″>Salernitana.
"The President knew about my interest in Salernitana, but he said what he thought via the newspapers," Lo Monaco noted.
"He said that I was preparing an alternative for Catania. That makes me laugh. I've had offers in the past, but I turned them all down.
"I feel hurt as a man because I have always put Catania before everything else. My resignation is a must."
Lo Monaco added that he wouldn't instantly depart the Stadio Massimino outfit with the transfer window currently open.
