“When I came here, I wanted to evaluate the players at my disposal,” said Coach Di Carlo.

“Now we have Mesbah and Belfodil, two important players to help us achieve safety and give a hand to this team.”

Mesbah arrived on loan from Parma, while Algerian striker Belfodil came from Inter after negotiations with West Ham and QPR faltered.

“Livorno can play with different systems, as during the week we test out several options to make the most of our squad.”

Di Carlo won his debut on the Amaranto bench, beating Sassuolo” data-scaytid=”19″>Sassuolo 3-1 in a relegation battle.

“After that result, we felt aware that we are alive and kicking. I expect confirmation and consistency, because one victory is not enough to resolve problems.
