Livorno are a step away from bankruptcy as the Amaranto have reportedly not paid part of the necessary surety to save the team.
According to Sky Sport, the sum of money promised by Cerea Banca is missing as well as the financing decided by the shareholders.
Only the current president Raffaele Navvarra and former owner Aldo Spinelli have respected their commitments, paying regular salaries and the F24.

It is now a race against time for Livorno to avoid bankruptcy. If the entire guarantees won’t be paid, the Amaranto, who are currently playing in Serie C, could disappear this season with the players who would be freed as early as October 14.
Some of Italy’s finest talents have played for the Amaranto through the years. The brothers Lucarelli, Alessandro and Cristiano, Francesco Tavano, Igor Protti and Alessandro Diamanti wore the Livorno shirt during their career.
Protti is currently the best scorer in the history of the club with 119 goals.
Livorno played their last season in Serie A in the 2013-14 campaign.
