Liverpool and Valencia were the two clubs who offered a job to Napoli’s Rafa Benitez, according to reports in Italy.
The Spanish Coach said yesterday that he had turned down two offers, as he evaluates whether to stay on at Napoli or not.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the offers was from English Premier League side Liverpool. Benitez was manager at Anfield between 2004 and 2010, winning the 2005 Champions League in the process.

Liverpool finished second last year under Brendan Rodgers, but have struggled badly this term, being knockout out of the Champions League at the group stage and sitting 11th in the League.
According to the newspaper, the other club which sought to tempt Benitez away from San Paolo was another of his former employers – Valencia.
According to the sports daily Benitez has not ruled out extending his Napoli contract, but will seek assurances about transfers and training facilities from President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
