Liverpool are growing increasingly likely to submit an offer for Italy international and Juventus exile Federico Chiesa, who has just a few days of the transfer window remaining to find himself a new club.
Liverpool increasingly likely to make Chiesa offer
According to reports from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Liverpool are hoping to complete the signing of Chiesa before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this week.
The former Fiorentina winger is available at a low-cost fee of €15m due to the fact that his contract is set to expire at the end of June.
He was told that he will not be part of new coach Thiago Motta’s plans for the upcoming season, and is currently training individually at Continassa.
There has been reported interest from Barcelona in recent days, and coach Hansi Flick has even spoken to the player about a possible move to Camp Nou.
Thus far, neither Barcelona nor Liverpool have submitted a formal offer for Chiesa. Barca need to reduce their wage bill before that move becomes a possibility, which means that Liverpool could have the upper hand in negotiations with Juventus.
Liverpool are working to complete the signing of Federico Chiesa before the transfer market shuts.
The Italy international is available for around €15million, given his terms expire in 2025.#LFC

Chiesa is treated like this as an example for other players to not messing up with Guintoli. This is too much but necessary.
