Arthur Melo joined Liverpool on loan on transfer deadline day this summer but he could already return to Juventus in January, according to rumours from England.

The 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder was frozen out of the Bianconeri squad this summer as Massimiliano Allegri made it clear that he had no plans of using the player this season, forcing him to find a new home. After an unclear few months, Arthur joined Liverpool on transfer deadline day on a loan deal with a €37m buy option attached.

TuttoJuve highlighted how multiple rumours are filtering out of England suggesting that Liverpool are planning to send Arthur back to Juventus in January in order to make space for a top transfer. The Reds have not started the season well and it’s clear that new blood is needed in the midfield to help change the club’s fortunes.

Arthur has only made one appearance for Liverpool following his arrival, playing 13 minutes of the 4-1 Champions League loss to Napoli. He remained benched for the Premier League draw with Everton and the 2-1 win over Ajax yesterday.

Do Liverpool even have this option?! They probably have to pay for his salary 1 year.
