Atalanta will be looking to repeat a near-impossible task when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.

The match between the Reds and la Dea kicks off at 20.00 UK time, the same time as the all-Italian affair between Milan and Roma.

Atalanta have been undefeated in their Europa League campaign so far, topping a group containing Sporting CP, Sturm Graz and Rakow Czestochowa. They then beat the Lisbon outfit again in the Round of 16, taking them to the last-eight stage.

Liverpool have been a little shakier on the European stage this season as well, losing to Toulouse 3-2 and Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1 in the group stage. They’re also keenly involved in the Premier League title race with Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Bergamo outfit and the Reds have faced each other twice in the past, in the Champions League group stage in the 2020-21 season. The English side won 5-0 in Bergamo but suffered a 2-0 loss at Anfield.
