Lecce coach Fabio Liverani has warned his side that Brescia will “try to pull us down there” when they face off in Serie A tomorrow.
Brescia welcome Lecce to the Rigamonti on Saturday and Liverani expects a “manly” fight between two teams fighting to survive in the top division.
“Tomorrow we will face, like in our last fixture against Genoa, a squad that are behind us and will play the game of their lives to pull us down there,” he said at a press conference.

“We will have to be strong, show personality and intelligence. It will be a battle, a real manly match.”
About the prospect of facing Mario Balotelli, the former Lazio man said he could see the Italy international improving.
“Corini’s side has a lot of individuals and qualities. That includes Balotelli, who is still recovering [his form].
“We will have to have a different approach to this game, compared to the last ones.”
As for his own side, Liverani is happy to have attacking trio Gianluca Lapadula, Diego Farias and Filippo Falco at his disposal.
“In the attack, where we were in difficulty previously, we are better now.
“Falco and Farias have had full weeks in training, even though their still not ready to play full 90 minutes.
“Lapadula will return after his two-match ban and we are fine with that. But I have lost [Fabio] Lucioni and [Jacopo] Petriccione to suspension.
“In defence I have to choose between [Christian] Dell’Orco or [Davide] Riccardi to replace Lucioni, whilst in midfield [Evgeniy] Shakhov might be a possibility in the middle.”
