“Obviously, it’s not going to be a balanced match with Inter, just as it wasn’t against Juventus, but we still went out there with the right attitude and picked up a point,” said the coach in his press conference.

“We need a little bit of luck too, but facing Inter is something these players ought to relish rather than fear. They need to enjoy these moments.”

Lecce are coming off four consecutive defeats, with Marco Calderoni, Diego Farias and Yevhen Shakhov injured, while Gianluca Lapadula is suffering from a stomach bug.

“Biagio Meccariello could play on the right, while Giulio Donati can comfortably switch to the other flank. I don’t like to experiment, so I’ll only evaluate the options that give me guarantees. Lapadula isn’t in the best shape, but he could still start anyway.

“Despite all the difficulties we have had, we are still having a dignified season back in Serie A and have as much chance as anyone else to remain in the top flight. We want to take everyone on and then hope for a little bit of luck too.”

Lecce squad for Inter: Riccardi, Vera, Petriccione, Lucioni, Donati, Mancosu, Lapadula, Falco, Rossettini, Deiola, Meccariello, Gabriel, Vigorito, Gallo, Rispoli, Babacar, Maselli, Majer, Dell’Orco, Tachtsidis, Chironi
