Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from the World Cup play-off semi-final, as Italy take on North Macedonia in Palermo.

It kicks off at the Stadio Barbera at 19.45 GMT.

The winners will go on to face either Portugal or Turkey in the Final on Tuesday, with only one of these four sides booking a spot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Italy already missed out on the 2018 tournament after losing the play-offs to Sweden, the only time other than 1958 that the Nazionale have failed to qualify.

The format has changed, so there is now a semi-final and final, both one-off matches to be decided on the night after 90 minutes, or extra time and penalties if necessary.

  1. like really when the heck can we give up on this lost cause Immobile… he is just terrible every time he plays for Italy… I honestly would rather have Balotelli at this point… he might make something happen with a half chance.

  2. Shame on Mancini. Has not learned anything playing the same tired song wit the same old strikers

  3. I am not shocked at all! Italy blew a long time ago against Switzerland and North Ireland. Today was just a formality. They couldn’t beat Portugal, anyway. InsIgne, Immobile, Berardi are total garbage. Florenzi, another garbage. Mancini had all wrong since the Euro.

  4. Not only Mancini lined up Immobile but he made him captain! Just to show his power and annoy the critics even more. Too bad that his huge arrogance led to Italy not qualifying and crushed so many hearts in the process…
