Inter are expected to pay a small sum for the six-month loan and then have an option to buy Lisandro Lopez at the end of the season for a total of around €9.5-11m.
Portuguese paper Record suggests Inter will pay €0.5m for the loan, plus an option to buy for €9m.
Coach Luciano Spalletti said last week “even my 80-year-old mother knows Inter are missing a centre-back” and it seems as if the Argentina international is the answer.
Lisandro Lopez had also been linked with a return to his homeland for Boca Juniors.
