Pol Lirola is ready to return to Olympique Marseille from Fiorentina and his medicals with the Ligue 1 giants have already been scheduled.

Talks between the two clubs had been put on hold earlier this week, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina and Marseille have now reached an agreement for the transfer of the Spanish full-back who played six months on loan in South France last term.

Fabrizio Romano reports Lirola only wanted to move to Marseille and his medicals with the Ligue 1 giants have already been scheduled.

According to SportMediaset, Lirola will join Marseille on a permanent €13m deal.

The former Juventus and Sassuolo man, 24, scored two goals and delivered two assists in 19 appearances with Marseille last term.

Fiorentina won’t replace him with Davide Zappacosta, who will join Atalanta on a permanent deal.
