Marcello Lippi could be returning to Guangzhou Evergrande as Coach for next season, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The former Azzurri boss already had huge success in the Chinese Super League from May 2012 to November 2014.
He won the Chinese League title three times, the Chinese Cup in 2011 and most importantly the Asia Champions League in 2012-13.
Sky Sport Italia maintain Lippi has worked out basic personal terms for a return to Guangzhou.
He’d replace current Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, whose contract will expire in January.
