Marcello Lippi is not surprised Arsenal are courting Juventus Coach Max Allegri, while Stefano Pioli is “building a team” at Inter.

The former Italy Coach, now the manager of the China national team, spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Juventus-Inter this weekend.

“At this moment it seems that Juve have rediscovered their belief and the right motivation thanks to Allegri changing – in my view correctly – the way they are playing,” said Lippi.

There have been persistent rumours in England that Arsenal want Allegri to take over from Arsene Wenger next season.

“Of course Allegri is courted by important clubs, as he has won so much already in Italy with Juventus and reached the Champions League Final.”

Inter have been on stunning form since Pioli took over from Frank de Boer, notching up nine straight wins in all competition until last night’s Coppa Italia defeat to Lazio.

“The real credit that Pioli deserves is for building a real team where everyone works for the same objective. As an example, just look at Mauro Icardi, who has also learned to provide many assists as well as scoring goals.”
