Marcello Lippi insists there’s been no contact with Milan – “for now the only bench I’m sitting on is on the promenade in Viareggio.”

The World Cup-winning Coach has been linked with the Rossoneri at the end of the season, as Cristian Brocchi has struggled since replacing Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“Milan? It’s been talked about for a little while now, but there’s nothing in it,” Lippi told Radio 2.

Lippi was also asked for his thoughts on Leicester City, and rejected comparisons to Verona’s Scudetto-winning side of 1985.

“The story of Leicester isn’t comparable to what has happened in the past in Italy. [Osvaldo] Bagnoli’s Verona won the League thanks to a plan.

“It’s not like coming third-last or something and winning the title the next year.”
