Marcello Lippi admits he ‘certainly’ does not miss Italian football but believes the FIGC’s commissionership “is an opportunity to start from scratch”.
Lippi has been out of Italy since taking charge of the Chinese national team in October 2016, and the 2006 World Cup winner also reflected on video assistant referees (VAR) in Serie A and how its clubs should be forced to play youngsters.
“Do I miss Italy? I miss my country, but certainly not the football,” the former Juventus and Napoli boss told Il Mattino.
