Luciano Spalletti didn’t disguise in his Press conference that Inter were going to push for the title this season, even with the added strain of the Champions League.

The squad is certainly strong enough, even without injured Radja Nainggolan, while Ivan Perisic and Sime Vrsaljko aren’t fully fit after Croatia’s World Cup Final exploits.

All eyes are on Lautaro Martinez, the exciting young Argentine who scored twice in the International Champions Cup over the summer.

Lautaro, Kwadwo Asamoah and ex-Sassuolo star Politano fan out behind joint Capocannoniere Icardi, who will feel like celebrating his recall to the Argentina squad this week.

Milan Skriniar is not fully fit either, so to avoid risks, Stefan de Vrij and Joao Miranda take the centre-back roles.

Sassuolo have been very active on the transfer market too, bringing in the likes of Federico Di Francesco and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Manuel Locatelli is on the bench after his move from Milan, joined by Inter youth team talent Jens Odgaard.

They also signed defender Marlon from Barcelona, but he isn’t available yet, along with Federico Peluso and Lemos.

These two sides have never shared the spoils in Serie A, Sassuolo winning six meetings and losing four.

However, the Neroverdi have won four of the last six encounters.
