The Giallorossi are certainly the underdogs in Catalunya, but have already upset the likes of Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk so far this season.

Eusebio Di Francesco is forced into quite a few changes, though, as Cengiz Under didn’t make the trip after picking up an injury on international duty.

Nainggolan was in the travelling party, but hasn’t even recovered from a muscular issue in time for a place on the bench, so will watch from the stands.

Instead, Alessandro Florenzi is moved into a more advanced role in the trident attack with Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti, who is picked ahead of Stephan El Shaarawy.

Bruno Peres comes in at right-back with Lorenzo Pellegrini returning from his own injury to bolster the midfield.

Barcelona cannot count on Philippe Coutinho, as he is cup-tied, while Lucas Digne is injured, Aleix Vidal and Yerry Mina left out.

There were some concerns over Lionel Messi, but ‘The Flea’ was rested for the 2-2 draw with Sevilla and is in the starting XI here with Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta.

Sergio Busquets returns from the start, but Dembele is dropped in favour of Nelson Semedo.

Both sides have to keep an eye on cards, because Sergi Roberto, Kostas Manolas and Diego Perotti are all a booking away from suspension.
