Napoli can take a step forward for Brighton’s Billy Gilmour and Frosinone’s Marco Brescianini as after completing the sale of Jesper Lindstrom to Everton.

The 24-year-old Danish midfielder completed his medicals with the Toffees on Thursday, ready to complete a €3m loan move with a €22m buy option attached, freeing up some space and resources in Antonio Conte’s squad.

Napoli are also working on selling Leo Ostigard to Stade Rennais for around €7m and could see progress in the sale of Victor Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain in the coming weeks. The club are planning to pick up a few more reinforcements before the end of the market.

The Partenopei are planning to submit a new offer to Brighton for the Scot after their €10m proposal was rejected. In the meantime, Gianluca Gaetano is being targeted by Cagliari and could be sold to allow the club to complete a move for Brescianini.
