LOSC President Olivier Letang insists PSG have ‘made no offers’ for Renato Sanches, but does hint at Milan. ‘There is a big European club interested in him.’

The midfielder is out of contract next summer and has an asking price of circa €30m, although that should be lowered significantly considering the possibility he could leave as a free agent next year.

French sources claimed today that Renato Sanches was in Paris to finalise the transfer, but this afternoon Lille presented new coach Paulo Fonseca – formerly of Roma – and commented on this situation in the press conference.

“Renato Sanches was very close to joining Barcelona last season, but there was a problem and it didn’t go through,” said Letang.

“As for everything that people have been saying, PSG are yet to make any offers for him, so there is nothing at the moment.

“However, I can tell you that a big European club is interested in him.”

This could be a reference to Milan, who had agreed personal terms with the Portugal international several weeks ago, only to see themselves superseded by PSG.

Rossoneri fans feared a similar issue to the one they experienced with Sven Botman, as the LOSC defender had agreed a move to them only to join Newcastle United when the Premier League side practically doubled Milan’s bid.

  1. hahah wow, shocking news! The plot really thickens now.

Might be MM’s first signing! 🙂

Maybe Sanches’ agent, Mendes, was trying to scheme his way to a greater transfer fee and salary. Normal agent tactics.

  2. looks like lille wanna push him to ac milan and not rival psg.

watch milan be tight and still wont go in for the set price

  3. I know they call it silly season but I think I have had enough silly for a bit .

“According to Foot Mercato, Milan target Renato Sanches is in Paris to finalize his move to PSG”

From story on FI 2 hours earlier . lol

  4. It’s simple. PSG have agreed personal terms with Sanches and he’s going there. They are yet to make their offer to Lille but will do so soon.
