Milan links with Fonseca and Allegri

Milan have been without a head coach for just over a week now, following the departure of Stefano Pioli on May 26.

Pioli had been in charge of Milan for just shy of five full seasons, having replaced Marco Giampaolo in October 2019. He had been in charge during for Milan’s first Scudetto win in 11 years during the 2021-22 season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier in the week that Milan are in the process of completing the final details of Fonseca’s contract ahead of a potential announcement in the coming weeks.

There have, however, been reports from Rai on Wednesday suggesting that the Rossoneri have been in contact with former Juventus tactician Massimiliano Allegri over a possible last-minute appointment.
