“It’s going to be tough, Lazio have played well in the Champions League, not as well in Serie A, we are ready to face them,” the Poland striker said during the Golden Boy award where he was named Player of the year.

“Winning the Champions League was an incredible feeling,” he added.

"It’s a dream come true after such a hard work, it gave me strong emotions, but it is not important how many titles we won but how many we can still win.”

Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland won the Golden Boy award.

“He deserves it, I am happy he is playing here in Germany, it will be very interesting to see this confrontation between us.”

The 32-years-old confirmed he could have joined Genoa in the past.

“There are many Polish players in Italy. When I was younger, and I was playing for Lech Poznan, I could have joined Genoa but I wanted to play in the Champions League and I opted for Borussia Dortmund instead. I think it was the right decision, seeing where I am now.”
