French newspaper L’Equipe claim Juventus could try to exchange Cristiano Ronaldo with Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi.

It comes after Ronaldo enigmatically wrote this was ‘decision day’ on social media, standing next to a Rolls Royce.

He has not yet returned to Turin for pre-season training with Max Allegri, because he reached the Round of 16 at UEFA EURO 2020 with Portugal and therefore has more vacation time.

His future remains an enigma, and L’Equipe report that Ronaldo could head towards PSG in a swap deal with Icardi.

It’s certainly not the first time Icardi has been linked with a move to Juve, as Inter had it written into the contract when selling to PSG that the French side would have to pay a €15m penalty if he was sold to another Italian club.

Icardi cost €50m plus up to another €22m in various add-ons and performance-related bonuses.

His wife and agent, Wanda Nara, dropped hints on social media this week, toasting to “what is coming this year and for you” while wearing a zebra-print outfit, mirroring the Juve logo.

Reports in France had also said that Allegri met with Icardi’s entourage.
