According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are not fully convinced of the work being done by their former defender and chief executive Ivan Gazidis is thinking about going in a different direction by bringing in current Lille sporting director Campos.
Maldini only returned to working with his former club this season after he retired from the game in 2009.

Meanwhile, the Corriere dello Sport reports that Current AS Monaco Coach Leonardo Jardim could follow Campos to San Siro and take over from Gennaro Gattuso if Milan fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The paper also reports that a Monaco-style backroom could be on the cards, as both Campos and Jardim have demonstrated their ability in working with youth, which will be the type of player that the Rossoneri will be focusing on in the future.
