PSG director Leonardo hits back at Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Milan star said the Ligue 1 giants dressing room ‘lacks discipline.’

Ibrahimovic wrote about his four-year spell in Paris in his latest book ‘Adrenaline: my untold stories.’

The 40-year-old revealed that he offered his services to become the PSG sporting director one year ago in case he hadn’t signed a contract extension with Milan.

This means he wanted to replace former Inter and Milan coach Leonardo. However, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi ‘smiled and declined the offer,’ wrote Ibra.

Leonardo was asked his thoughts on Ibrahimovic’s claims and wasn’t impressed.

“It’s something annoying, but this doesn’t change things,” Leonardo told Europa1, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

Pochettino refuses to comment on Ibrahimovic’s remarks over lack of discipline at PSG

“I’m 52, so I can understand Zlatan’s desire, I know him well and I am not one person who goes to media to respond. Actually, I don’t want to say anything.

“Did he want to become PSG’s sporting director? Silence is the better answer.”

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino had offered a similar reply only a few days ago, saying: “I have no comments to make. I’m just talking about what’s going on here, what we’re doing, the reality.”

Ibrahimovic joined PSG from Milan in 2012. He scored 156 goals in 180 matches with the Ligue 1 giants before joining Manchester United, LA Galaxy and returning to Milan.

  1. Any halfwit can see that clubs lacks discipline.

They can beat anyone on their day, but it’s always been a bit of a circus, with over-hyped players on huge wages who often clearly don’t care. That tool Neymar is the prime example.
