Milan director Leonardo had harsh words for Gonzalo Higuain, while confirming there were “no formal offers for Fabio Borini or Alen Halilovic.”
He spoke to the media after the presentation Press conference for Lucas Paquetá and did not hold back on unsettled Higuain.
“He has to make a decision and take on his share of the responsibility,” said Leo. “Not this continual yes, no, I’m not sure. He had a tough moment, he has to put it behind him and get to work.

“There’s no point following rumours and gossip. He is here right now. Seeing as he is here, he needs to get down and actually do something for this team.
“A goal can change things, but if he is to continue here, he needs to take on responsibility.”
Higuain is on loan from Juventus with €36m option to buy, but also linked with a possible January move to Chelsea.
Leonardo also discussed possible exits for Borini to Shenzhen FC and Halilovic to Besiktas.
“We received no formal offers for Borini or Halilovic. There are 30 players in the squad, clearly someone has to leave. Riccardo Montolivo? We’ll see.”
So much of Milan’s strategy is uncertain, as they will have another meeting with UEFA on Friday to discuss Financial Fair Play penalties.
“Time passes by and meanwhile we are losing opportunities. It’s unlikely they’ll give us any real indications on Friday. We can work on loan deals with options to buy, but not everyone is prepared to accept that.”
