“I’m disappointed with goals conceded from corners. That was most the disappointing aspect, and the chances we missed,” shrugged Lennon in his Press conference.
“We’ve competed and competed again tonight, but it’s mainly the defensive part of the pitch we’re talking about.”
The Rossoneri had been without a victory in over a month, while the club hadn’t beaten Celtic in Scotland since 1969, earning only two points from four visits.
“Milan have improved since the first game. I said before the game I wouldn’t take too much notice of their domestic form.
“We created more chances tonight than in the San Siro. I didn’t think we were outplayed; it wasn’t wave after wave of attack. Big moments change the course of the game.
“Milan took their chances, but we contributed to our downfall. We have to improve if we are to continue to play in the Champions League.
“We all enjoy the Euro experience but we’ll learn from this campaign and we will do everything we can to come back next year and compete.”
