Several reports in Italy claim Roma have sent a formal bid to Juventus for Matias Soulé.

Roma made the first formal step towards signing Argentinean winger Soulé from Juventus.

According to Gazzetta, Il Tempo and Matteo Moretto, the Giallorossi have sent a formal €25m offer, including add-ons.

Gazzetta claims that Roma’s offer probably won’t convince Juventus, given that the Bianconeri already rejected a higher proposal from Leicester City.

Roma send formal bid for Juventus talent Soulé

Soulé, however, is eager to remain in Serie A and is unconvinced about moving to the Premier League, where Leicester City and West Ham have shown interest.

The Foxes, in particular, have already sent a formal €30m proposal, including add-ons, but Juventus value Soulé between €35m and €40m.

This probably means that Roma will have to raise their bid to sign Soulé, who scored 11 Serie A goals at Frosinone last season.

New Juventus coach Thiago Motta would love to keep Soulé in Turin, but he’s aware that the club must sell the Argentinean to boost their budget for other transfer targets such as Teun Koopmeiners of Atalanta.
